With an impressive career spanning over 30 years in the industry, Scott Jackson brings a wealth of experience to the table. His journey includes stints with the Washington Wizards Radio Network, serving as Studio Host for St. John’s Basketball, and hosting at Team 980AM and 106.7 The Fan.
He will continue his existing roles as the ODU Men’s Basketball play-by-play host on ESPN+ and as the Post-Game Host of Washington Commanders Game Day.

James is a devoted husband and father with a radio career that spans over 20 years. He began at sister station 97.3 The Eagle, and also spent a great deal of time with 92.9 The Wave. From on-air personality to traffic and news reporting, James has done a little bit of everything within the Max Media family.
He can also be heard as the Sideline Reporter and Analyst for ODU Football broadcasts, and has been with the team in some role since 2010.
Beyond sports, James has hosted over 500 episodes of the Down And Nerdy Podcast across 10 years, covering the world of entertainment and pop culture.
