LSU fires Kelly, still finalizing his $54M buyout

A day after a 49-25 loss to Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, LSU fired coach Brian Kelly on Sunday night, with athletic director Scott Woodward announcing in a statement that “we had high hopes that he would lead us to multiple SEC and national championships.”
