Irish’s Freeman may take larger role with defense

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman said, after Saturday’s loss to Texas A&M, that he might take on more of a role with the team’s struggling defense. The Fighting Irish have allowed 68 points, 827 yards in losses to No. 4 Miami and No. 10 Texas A&M.
